Blood Test / Urine test/ HIV Test Cost
You can get a blood test at any public or private hospital in Namibia. The cost of the blood test depends on what type of health insurance you have and whether your doctor prescribes it as part of your treatment.
If you are insured through private medical aid, the cost will be paid directly by your medical aid and not by the patient.
If you do not have health insurance, then the cost of getting an HIV test is about N$200 per person ($15 USD).

HIV Rapid Test: This test is used to detect HIV infection.
Blood Urea Nitrogen: A test to determine the amount of protein in your blood.

A complete blood count (CBC) is a simple test that provides information about basic blood cell counts, including red and white blood cells. A CBC helps your doctor diagnose a variety of conditions and assess the health of your bone marrow.
Your doctor may order this test if you are experiencing shortness of breath, bleeding or bruising easily, weakness, fatigue or unusual swelling in certain areas of your body. A CBC also can help determine if you have anaemia (low levels of red blood cells), infection or leukaemia.
