Wheel alignment is adjusting the angles of wheels so that they are perpendicular to each other and to the ground. It also ensures that the wheels are parallel with each other and positioned in a straight line.

What causes misaligned wheels?

When aligning your tyres, the following are important:

• Camber: The side of the tire that’s closer to the inside or outside of the vehicle

• Toe: This shows whether your car has the right amount of outward curling to enable great turning. Turning inwards means that the leverage you get on turns is decreased & vice versa.

• Caster: This refers to the degree of “camber” on a tire. An angle facing upwards helps with stability, cornering and steering.

  For full functionality and safety, it is recommended that you have your tyre alignment checked at least once a year.
