The Huawei Mate 20 Pro was announced in October 2018, but it’s only now that it’s making its way to global markets, including Namibia. Although this isn’t the most affordable phone on the market, let’s take a look at how much you can expect to pay if you want to get your hands on one of these phones as soon as they become available in the country – and what exactly you get with the device when you buy it new.
1) The phone itself
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is a high-end device. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor and a triple camera setup. The phone has a 6.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2244×1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It also has 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system.
2) The screen
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has a 6.39 inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2240 pixels, an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a pixel density of 438ppi. The AMOLED panel provides excellent viewing angles with deep blacks and high contrast which make for an immersive experience when watching videos or playing games.
3) The camera
The camera on this phone is one of its best features. It has four lenses – a 40-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 3D depth lens and a 5x optical zoom lens. The camera is capable of taking high quality photos with accurate colors and good dynamic range. If you want to be able to shoot images with perfect bokeh, you will need to use the 3D depth lens or the 5x optical zoom feature.
4) The battery life
The battery life on this phone is really good! I’ve been using it for about 8 hours and it’s only at 60% which is a lot better than my old phone. The battery life lasts all day without having to charge it which is great because I’m always on my phone. The battery life is great, but there are other features that make me love this phone.
5) The price
The price of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro depends on where it is being sold. The price can range from $700 to $900. In Namibia, it will cost around N$6,000.
