Microblading is a semi-permanent tattooing technique that creates hairlike strokes to fill in sparse or thinning brows. The procedure typically lasts one hour and can be done in a doctor’s office or spa. It’s typically done on the upper forehead, but it can also be used on the lower forehead and around the eyes.
Microblading is often compared with microstroking (also called permanent makeup) because both involve applying pigment through small cuts made into the top layer of skin. But there are some differences between these two techniques: Microblading uses handheld tools to apply pigment after making tiny cuts into your skin; micro stroking uses needles equipped with tips designed for drawing hair-like strokes that resemble eyebrow hairs. In addition, micro stroking involves using fewer cuts than microblading does (typically one versus two).
So how much does microblading cost? That depends on several factors including where you live and how much time your technician needs to spend working on your brows — but here’s what we know so far:
The semi-permanent makeup
The semi-permanent makeup should last anywhere from 12 to 18 months, but everyone is different. You can enhance the results after a year if you choose to get another treatment.
If your eyebrows are sparse or thinning out, microblading looks great on those with naturally thick brows as well!
Microblading costs $400 to $700 in the U.S., while Namibia microblading treatments start at N$15,480 and go up to N$37,000.
In Namibia, you can expect to pay between N$18,000 and N$55,000 for your microblading treatment—that’s about $1,800-4,400 USD!
