Teachers in Namibia are not paid as well as other professionals, but the salary is still decent. The average salary for high school teachers ranges from $1,000 to $3,000 per month depending on experience and qualifications. The minimum wage for a primary school teacher is about 10% higher than this range–$1,100 per month or so–but there is no minimum wage for secondary school teachers in Namibia and they can earn much more than that amount each month if they have several years’ experience under their belt. Private tutors earn anywhere from $1,400 to $2,500 per month depending on where they live and how many students they teach at once (more students = higher pay).
