How Much Does a Director Earn in Namibia?

How Much Does a Director Earn in Namibia?

The rates at which directors earn in Namibia vary greatly depending on the services they offer and the size of the organisation they are working for. The pay can range from as little as N$900 per month to more than N$2700 per month.

Non-Executive Directors

Non-executive directors are not involved in the day-to-day running of the business and are appointed to a board of directors to provide strategic advice and guidance. They do not work for the company, but they do receive a fee for their services.

Full-Time Executive Director

The Full-Time Executive Director is a salaried position and earns between N$300,000 and N$500,000 per year. This salary is more than that of a non-executive director, an agency owner or even a retainer.

Agency Owner (i.e. Self-employed)

You’re the director. You own the agency, so you’re responsible for everything. You’ll have to do all of the work yourself, and it’s likely that no one else will ever join your company. It’s possible that your client may refer others to you as well, but don’t count on this happening any time soon.

The money earned from operating an agency is split up between two sources: profit share and bonus income. When an agency generates revenue over a certain amount (typically $10k), the owner receives 50% of said profit as salary or draw in addition to their normal paychecks from their client(s). The other 50% goes towards paying back debt or reinvesting into new projects; this is also where most bonuses come from as well!
