The University of Namibia

The University of Namibia (UNAM) is the oldest and largest institution of higher learning in Namibia. It was established on March 11, 1980 by an Act of Parliament as the University College of The North West. UNAM offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses to full-time and part-time students, with campuses in both capital cities – Windhoek and Oshakati. Tuition fees for 2016/2017 range from N$5 200 to N$7 500 per year depending on programme of study. Tuition for non-nationals ranges from US $10 000 to US $18 000 per year depending on course level and residency status.

The University of the Western Cape

The University of the Western Cape offers undergraduate and graduate degrees to students who have completed high school. The university offers various degrees such as Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and more. Bachelor’s degrees cost US$2,800 per year for regular degree studies or US$3,800 per year for distance education degree programmes. For postgraduate degrees, there are three options: Master’s programs, PhD programs or research doctorate programmes; each costing US$4,000 per year for regular degree studies or US$5,000 per year for distance education degree programmes.
