The Salary Range 

According to the Namibian Labour Force Survey, in 2017, the average salary of a safety officer was N$1,500 per month. This is an increase from N$1,000 in 2016 and N$800 in 2015.

Safety officers who work on an offshore rig can expect to earn much more than land-based employees. For example, a mechanical engineer working for Transocean earned up to US$50,000 per month during peak times in 2013 and 2014. A senior project manager working for the same company earned between US$15,000 and US$20,000 per month during this period.
