- A student is admitted to Al-Maktoum College of Engineering and Technology on the understanding that in accepting the admission she/he commits her/himself to adhere to the Statutes, regulations, rules and by-laws.The College expects student behavior, both on and off campus, to be moral, ethical, and legal. The College reserves the right to withdraw admission for conduct that is contrary to the objectives of the college.
- Candidates seeking admission to join three years Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 4-6) programmes offered by the College can be through the Direct Entry Scheme whereas:In order to qualify for admission under the Direct scheme, a candidate must be a holder of a Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (CSSE) with a minimum pass of “D” grade in four of the following subjects; Physics/Engineering Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, English and Geography/Biology. A pass in Mathematics is compulsory. For admission into engineering courses a candidate must have minimum D grade in Physics/ Engineering Science.
Also, a candidate that has obtained a minimum of 2 ‘D’ grades in form IV, and has obtained an NVA Level III from VETA may be admitted at NTA Level 4.
- Candidates seeking admission to join two years Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 5-6) programmes offered by the College needs to possess an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examinations (ACSEE) with a minimum requirement of 1 principal pass and 1 subsidiary in relevant subjects.Also a candidate with a Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) from an Institution under NACTE may be admitted into the programme.

NOTE: Applicants must;
- Give full particulars of citizenship (including a copy of birth certificates) and enclose photocopies of relevant academic certificates and other relevant documents as demanded.
- Pay a non refundable application fee of Tshs. 10,000/ for Tanzanians and USD 20 for foreigners. All fees must be paid through the College’s Bank Account, Account Name: AL-MAKTOUM COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING; Account No.: 049137000070; NBC BANK.
- Prospective students are required to bring with them original transcripts of grades from each school attended, copies of certificates received and other relevant documents as declared in the application forms. Legal action will be taken against any applicant who presents forged documents.
Evidence of credible sources of funding is a condition for admission and registration for studies at Al-Maktoum College of Engineering and Technology. Such evidence must be made before or at the time of registration.
Admission to the college is conditional upon presentation of satisfactory medical report received by the College.
All students if admitted are required to abide absolutely by the College regulations. Failure to do so may lead to suspension or denial of access to the College facilities.
Al-Maktoum College of Engineering and Technology AMCET Registration
All international students must report to DICA on arrival to go through general registration formalities. Then, students will be directed to their respective Colleges/Schools/Institutes.
Before registration, all fresh International Students are required to attend the Orientation in order to learn more about their academic programmes and other registration procedures.
The University will only register students who have either paid all their fees, be it for a semester or per year.
