How Much Do Registered Nurses Earn in Namibia?

How Much Do Registered Nurses Earn in Namibia?

According to the World Health Organization, Namibia has a shortage of nurses. With a population of 2.5 million people, Namibia has only 1,300 registered nurses. This shortage is due to several factors, including a lack of resources and training opportunities. As a result, many nurses leave Namibia to work in other countries where they can earn more money and have better working conditions.

The population of Namibia

Only 1,300 registered nurses serve the entire population of Namibia which is 2. 5 million people. That works out to be one nurse for every 1,923 citizens. Registered nurses in Namibia earn an average salary of N$50,000 per year.

The average salary of a nurse

According to the International Council of Nurses, the average salary for a registered nurse in Namibia is about $1,000 per month. Compare that to an average RN salary in the United States of $3,300 per month – over three times as much! It’s no wonder that so many nurses leave Namibia to work elsewhere. Not only do they earn more money, but they also have better working conditions and benefits.
